Valencia is a wonderful city to live and benefits of a very enjoyable Mediterranean climate with an average of 217 sunny days a year. It is a relatively small city, making it easily accessible. Very close, the Port of Valencia is a very active commercial port, the 5th busiest container port in Europe, the largest port on the Mediterranean sea. There are regular ferries linking Valencia to the Baleric Islands including Ibiza and Mallorca.
Spain’s third-largest city, Valencia offers jobs in fields such as building construction, tourism, real estate. International companies operating in the region are constantly looking for labour, such as the Ford Motor Company and another large employer is the Port of Valencia.
EU citizens can obtain a European health card before arrival in Spain and get access to free national health. Valencia has well equipped medical facilities and well trained staff including a large selection of general and specialist hospitals. The University of Valencia and the Polytechnic University have been significant contributors to the latest developments in Information Technology locally.
